How to Clear Memory Card and Restart Backup After an Error
If you've encountered an error and need to reset your backup, follow these steps to clear the memory card and restart the process:
1. Clear Backup Records in the App
- Open the Qubii Pro App ➔ Tap the Settings icon (top right) ➔ Select Backup Details ➔ Tap Reset Backup Records.
- Once the backup records are cleared, return to the app's main menu and tap Begin Backup.
Note: If only the memory card is formatted and the backup records in the app are not reset, Qubii will continue the backup from the last file, rather than starting a new full backup.
2. Avoid Disconnecting During Backup
- The initial backup after resetting the backup records may take longer than usual because it needs to back up everything at once.
- If you need to stop the backup midway, make sure to tap Cancel.
- Do not unplug the cable while the backup is in progress to avoid data loss.
Starting a Backup with a New Memory Card
To begin a backup with a new memory card:
- Open the Qubii Pro App ➔ Tap the Settings icon (top right) ➔ Select Backup Details ➔ Tap Reset Backup Records.
- After resetting, you can start the backup anew with the new card.
Using a Second Memory Card
If you're switching to a second memory card after already backing up with a first card:
- Open the Qubii App ➔ Tap the Settings icon (top right) ➔ Select Backup Information ➔ Tap Reset Backup Records.
- Insert the first memory card into Qubii, tap Start Backup Now to sync and compare the data with your phone.
- Once synced, you can insert the second memory card to continue backing up new data.
