If there has been a sudden disconnection of your Qubii from the power outlet or unplug your cable while backing up, it may lead to Error Messages (EA) related to file read/write errors. Please first format the Qubii EX to reset its status.
Troubleshoot: Format Qubii and reinitiate backup
1. Format your Qubii EX
2. Update Qubii APP
3. After restarting your phone, proceed with the backup
Attention: If you need to stop the backup midway, please go to the app and click "Stop" before disconnecting.
After formatting, the same message still appears during backup. Please format again and replace the transmission cable before backing up:
1. Format your Qubii EX
2. Restart your phone
3. Replace the transmission cable with a new one
Formatting Methods for MicroSD Card:
Windows:
- Connect Qubii to your Windows PC.
- Right click on the Qubii folder once it appears or find the Qubii folder in the File Explorer under "This PC".
- Select "Format"
- A new window will appear where you can choose the file system. Select exFAT.
- Done!
Mac:
- Plug Qubii into your Mac.
- Launch Disk Utility, located in Applications > Utilities.
- Locate the drive named "Qubii" from the left-hand side of Disk Utility and click on it.
- Click on the “Erase” tab across the top.
- Done!
*MAKTAR REMINDER: Please remember that formatting the Qubii will permanently delete all the data stored inside. If there is any previously stored data on Qubii, please backup your data to a computer before formatting.
