Live Photo for iOS
Apple's Live Photo gives a static and dynamic effect to the photos you take. It is actually stored in your phone as one photo and one video, so when Qubii backs it up, it will be backed up as one photo and one video as well (but only one item is displayed in the app). If you select one of the Live Photo effects (Loop/Return/Long Exposure), an additional video file will be saved with the effect.
Burst Mode Photos
If a photo is taken using the Burst Mode function, it will be backed up by the number of consecutive shots contained in that photo. (If an item has 10 consecutive shots, the backup will become 10 items)
Download from Google Photos
The photos uploaded to Google Photos are compressed and are of a different quality and resolution than the original files.
- If the original photos no longer exist on your phone and you download them from Google Photos in one go, they will be treated as new items and backed up to Qubii.
- If you still have the same original photos on your phone and you still download the same photos from Google Photos, they will become duplicate items (look the same) on your phone and then be treated as different items when backing up, creating duplicate backups.
- In order to avoid duplicate backups, you need to organize your Google Photos photos first.
Edited/Retouched Photos
Edited/retouched photos will be treated as different items and will be backed up separately from the original files. Therefore, to avoid duplicate backups, please organize the contents of your phone first and then backup them.
